Centazzo, born in Udine in 1948, studied music at the University of Bologna. He lives in Los Angeles.
The Italian-American composer, percussionist, ICTUS Records founder, author, conductor, multimedia artist with a unique style and lecturer has been an explorer of contemporary art for over 45 years. He has collaborated with John Zorn, Steve Lacy, Don Cherry, Evan Parker, Albert Mangelsdorff, Fred Frith, among others, released numerous recordings and performs internationally. In 2011, the University of Bologna founded the Fondo Centazzo, a collection of all his works.
