Trumpet
Allbee, born 1976 in Berlin, Vermont, studied music and media studies at Mills College in Oakland, California. In the USA she played with Anthony Braxton, Rova Saxpohone Quartet, Fred Frith and others. She lives in Berlin.
As a composer-performer, she places a special emphasis on the imaginarchic potential of sound material, on electroacoustic composition and spatialisation. She plays on a quadraphonic trumpet of her own design. She has participated in numerous festivals, including Wien Modern, Donaueschingen, Berlin Jazzfest.
